“Ones destination is never a place, But a new way of seeing  thingsHenry Miller

Hello everyone! Hope you enjoyed a lot during this festive season with visit, vacations, fun and frolic with your loved ones.We also  went to one of the most enchanted place on earth as people say with its rich tropical forest, beautiful rice terraces, organic coffee plantations, sun and sand, volcano, best artisans etc what makes it one of the most beautiful blue lagoon. Welcome to Bali….

Zooming to Bali: So we fixed all our plan to zoom into Bali from Malaysia where we were recently. It was an Air Asia flight at night from Kuala Lumpur. I was little bit skeptical and nervous as I was in a far away land waiting to hop my plane. It was at night that we boarded and quickly our flight was full, with air hostess giving instructions. Wow! our flight took off after a while, and we left behind some dazzling lights and night view of KL(Kuala lumpur). above, a starry night awaited us. Food was prebooked and, I got butter-rice with accompaniments. Oh I was already missing my native Indian food, on my mind I  was thinking about Dal Chawal, Paratha, Aloo Gobi etc my thought came to a halt with flight steward serving beverages. After a while when we finished,  I just took a power nap after seeing lots of traveler dozing off amidst their howling, crying babies with lights of cockpit going dim. My night dreaming came to a halt with someone singing ‘strangers in the night’ in a low voice. Oh! we were about to land with pitch darkness outside, someone said we are crossing the sea as he was a regular visitor, and in a few minutes we were landing which went smoothly. It took us a while to literally sat foot after immigration formalities ( free visa for Indians if stay upto 30 days…wow) on Ngurah Rai International airport… Denpasar Bali Indonesia.

“Bali is one of my favorite places in the world. In one of my past lives, I believe I was living on the island of Bali” Chip Conley

Our caravan: After a few minutes of anxiousness we could locate our chauffeur with our  name written on his placard. I was anxious as was not quaint with the local language, but to my pleasant surprise mostly all people could communicate in English, including our driver Yoman. He drove us straight to our hotel as it was well past midnight about 1.00am to be precise in his spacious car fit to make a caravan.

Birthday kid: We reached hotel Kuta Central Park with our droopy eyes and checked in. It was a really nice hotel with all amenities especially a spa and gym. I will delve on it later. It was a special day as it was my elder kid birthday, so the staff who were really sweet to arrange a birthday cake. So we celebrated and soon felt asleep in this far away land.

Lavish spread: Ah! it was a beautiful sunny morning though the heat was scorching as the weather is tropical whole year and Bali is nearby Australia, only 2 hour journey to reach Darwin. Yes we were awake and ready to have our breakfast so went to lotus. No not the flower but the name of the dine in area of the hotel.  Frankly I was thinking of the usual bread butter, cake with tea or coffee, but as we entered I was surprised by the beauty of the restaurant, as if I was in midst of a forest with soft Balinese music percolating through our ears. All over there were exquisite candles burning making the place more beautiful. I must tell you the breakfast was awesome with its lavish spread and many choices to choose over from different types of breads,  fruit juices, cakes (plenty) pastas, chow mein, jalapeno sounds yummy and surprisingly chapatis section since many travellers were from India also esp honeymooners. One aged couple were delighted to have paratha with butter in such a place. So we ate to our hearts content.

Awestruck: When I first started my journey, I thought it would be another island with sea beaches with some shops and some cool restaurants, as I traveled through Bali, slowly realizing the true beauty of mother earth I was mesmerized for sure. On my next blog post you will catch a glimpse of the exotic places and life at Bali Indonesia through my eyes.Until then enjoy and happy globe-trotting.
